Windows 10: Ryzen 9 3900x Only showing 8 logical cores

Discus and support Ryzen 9 3900x Only showing 8 logical cores in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; In my old setups I would have already found the fix but this has me stumped.     Ryzen 9 3900x Only showing 8 logical cores


    In my old setups I would have already found the fix but this has me stumped.

    The only Windows 10 setting I know of that affects the number of processor cores in use is the one in the attached image. (Enter "msconfig" in the search or run window.) It's not something that would normally be turned on.

    Aside from that, all that I would try is clearing the CMOS.

    Failing that, I'd guess that you have a defective motherboard or CPU.

    lol well if you compare a amd 3000 series 12 core price to an Intel 8 core price it hardly seems logical why not a 7920x or 9920x *Biggrin
    3700x 329.us & 3800x 387.us would likely be a better comparison seeing they are both 8 core cpu's and a lot cheaper *Wink
