Windows 10: Salt & Sanctuary not launching from both Epic Games and Steam

I haven't played this game in a while and wanted to come back to it, but when I tried to launch it on Epic Games it says that an error has occured. I bought the game on Steam because I thought something was wrong with the Epic Games client itself and when I tried to launch the game on Steam, another error showed up. I tried updating GPU drivers and installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 for x86 because it was said in a reddit post that that's supposed to fix the issue on Epic Games but it didn't fix the issue im having. Steam games not launching on Windows 10


Hi all,

I'm having a problem when I try to launch Steam games, as whatever game I try to launch doesn't actually launch. A message comes up about the game "preparing to launch" but then nothing after that happens. Some games give me an error saying Steam is not running at all, whereas others just do nothing.

I've already completed all the troubleshooting steps on Steam's website but none of them have actually fixed it. The only temporary fix that works is restarting Steam, but this becomes very annoying when I have to do it multiple times a day every time I want to play a game.

Windows blocking Steam and Epic games and websites.

Windows has started Epic and Steam, as well as access to game webpages. I have already tried disabling Windows Defender. Everything seems OK, but the EPIC and STEAM launchers are prevented from accessing Internet.How do we fix this?
