Samsung 850 Pro SSD Software Support for WIN 10

Fitting the brand new SSD EVO disk felt a bit strange. It was so light compared to the old ceramic drive. Migrated the old drive over to the Samsung (turned out I had purchased a faulty cable for the process).
Removing the hard drive in my Toshiba Satelite L10-B after Win8.1 transfer it was a pleasure to see the difference the SSD made. However after a few days the startup froze and ---- nutting. Redid the transfer and worked fine for a few days then crashed again.
Repeated the process and when it was working, switched the drives and updated to Win10 on the original disk (Not the EVO) then transfered disks and did the Win10 update onto the SSD giving me two working disks (just in case). I figured the chances were high that the laptop would crash again. Sure enough after using it solidly for a week it had a week off whilst I did a heap of outside work. Must have been an omen cause when I started it up - nothing again. Figured it must be the EVO SSD so took it back to the dealer who promptly formatted the disk and totally killed the reimage process. Told me that the cable was faulty so had a weeks wait for a new one.
Back to square one. Reinstalled the original updated Win10 drive and started over again. The migration tool and Magician did not recognise a Samsung drive. Not a good sign.
Had a coffee! Always a good idea to circumvent making some worse decisions.
Decided to look at this forum which lead nowhere because I already had the updated Magician.
Well what about the Migration Tool? Checked it out and sure enough there was an update to version 3. Made the download and did the update and then ..... it recognised the SSD and did a very speedy clone about 35mins all up. Compared to the earlier attempts of around 5 hours it made for a much better feeling towards Samsung drives (which were my 3.5inch HDdrive favourites after 6 years as an Operations Manager in a big high school with very few problems.) Notwithstanding it was a faulty cable that messed the data in the first place.
So now I have a brilliantly fast laptop that feels like it has 8Gig RAM inside rather than the 2Gig (fixed in this model so no RAM upgrade possible). Magician likely to be upgraded soon when I start to use it. Remember to set up the SSD as if you were using a standard disk but format as a Primary MBR disk before formatting. Then use the new Migration Tool and it should pick it out without any problems. Use the Magician later for the fancy stuff.
Hope this helps anyone having problems with the Samsung EVO SSD.

I have installed new SSD 850 EVO today successfully in Win10 64-bit.
But after installing the Samsung Magic software, i am getting a message that Magic software is not able to properly communicate with the SSD since the drivers are not latest. I tried using Windows Update and get a message that the drivers are latest. Tried searching online but no result.

    Can someone help ?

You can find the latest version of Samsung magician in the following URL: –Tool & Software | Download | Samsung V-NAND SSD
Windows update will not update your Samsung's firmware. To the best of my knowledge, this version of magician 4.9.7 should work with no problems in Windows 10 for your 850 evo

My PC works fine with Magician 4.9.5. What's the advantage of v4.9.7?

Just another update. I do not see a difference between them.Your post seem to indicate you were still using magician version 4.6.

If you read the release notes, you can see what is new.
