Windows 10: Samsung EVO 970 Clone gone... awkward

What can I do to correct the following issue?

Using the new Samsung Magician software, the clone of my system went smoothly, surprisingly, as I know most of the time it does randomly fail.

With this case it was successful, although...

I show only one drive. My original SSD is still plugged into the orginal slot, as on this MITX motherboard, the graphics card covers the other SATA ports, so I cannot move the drive at all.

So to simplify:

C: drive shows as my 970 EVO, 1 Terabyte.

Orginal SSD is not shown other than by diskmgmt and other 3rd party partition managers.

When found on diskmgmt windows service, it shows as offline, 223.56GB (which is what my system size was) when it is a 500GB Kingston SSD.

I turn it online and it seems I can manage the 223.56GB partitions. Although it does not show any unallocated space.

Should I format the drive whilst it's online? As I cannot manage it at all with it "offline"?

How should I continue?

I can share pictures, I think, as well. Unless I need some sort of permission.

Cloning problems with Samsung SSD 850 EVO

Unable to clone a Samsung SSD 850 EVO on a newly upgraded Win10 machine. Samsung's cloning app does not see the drive, though Samsung's Magician software does (albeit grayed out).

Formatted and mounted the drive in MS Disk Management; drive appears as E.

(Already successfully cloned and installed an 850 on a different machine using Win8.1; then successfully upgraded to Win10, so I know what success looks like.)

The Samsung 970 PRO and EVO are designed based on the M.2 form factor standard and with the latest PCIe Gen 3×4 lane interface. The 970 series maximizes the potential of NVMe bandwidth, delivering unparalleled performance for processing large volumes of data, including 3D, 4K graphics work, high-end games and data analytics.

The 970 PRO enables sequential read speed of up to 3,500 MB/s and sequential write speed of up to 2,700 MB/s1, while the EVO features sequential read speed of up to 3,500 MB/s and sequential write speed of up to 2,500 MB/s2. The sequential write speeds represent an enhancement of up to 30 percent over the previous generation3, thanks to Samsung’s latest V-NAND technology and the newly designed Phoenix controller. The 970 EVO, in particular, utilizes the Intelligent TurboWrite technology, which uses a large buffer size of up to 78GB4 to enable faster write speeds.

In addition to the advancements in performance levels, the 970 PRO and EVO deliver exceptional endurance and reliability. The Dynamic Thermal Guard technology safeguards against overheating by automatically monitoring and maintaining optimal operating temperatures, while a heat spreader and new nickel-coated controller further lower the SSD temperatures.
