Windows 10: Samsung Galaxy Note10 delivers OneDrive Gallery experience

In August, we announced that Microsoft OneDrive will begin powering the photos and cloud storage experience on Samsung Galaxy phones and devices. Samsung is now rolling out the new experience to Galaxy Note10 and Note10+ devices in Europe with the US to follow. Soon your Note10 will natively integrate OneDrive with Samsung Gallery to store your photos and videos in the cloud. When you store your camera roll with OneDrive, your photos and videos will be backed up, protected, and accessible from your phone, PC, Mac, and web browser. With your photos in OneDrive, you’ll won’t need to worry about losing a memory even if you lose your phone.

OneDrive is now the default cloud storage solution on the Samsung Galaxy Note10.

Samsung Gallery + OneDrive, better together

Take advantage of OneDrive features that make life simpler such as searching by the content in your photos (i.e. cat or beach) or using the new “On this day” feature which periodically shows you photos from years past and invites you to relive some of your best memories. On this day is now available on all Android phones with the OneDrive app.

View your camera roll online

With your camera roll saved to OneDrive, you can view all your Samsung Gallery photos and videos online at OneDrive.com. And this January, we’re introducing a new OneDrive online photos experience that will load your images faster than ever and let you navigate through them with a timeline bar.

OneDrive Mobile App

The OneDrive mobile app, with over 1 billion downloads on Android, comes preinstalled on the Galaxy Note10, and allows you to:

Access and edit your OneDrive files on the go

Protect your most important files and photos in Personal Vault

Scan paper documents, receipts, or whiteboard notes directly into OneDrive as PDFs

Share and collaborate on your files

Set your files for offline use

OneDrive storage plans for Samsung Note10

If you have a Galaxy Note10 and you currently have a storage plan with Samsung Cloud, you may be eligible for bonus storage for 1 year. If you are new to OneDrive, you get 5 GB of free storage. If you need more, you can upgrade to a 100 GB plan or an Office 365 subscription, which includes 1 TB of storage plus premium features such as ransomware detection and recovery. Yesterday, Microsoft joined Samsung on stage in New York City at their Galaxy Unpacked 2019 event to share a vision for the future of productivity and how the continued partnership in the coming years will empower people to achieve more across new Samsung devices and Microsoft experiences. We are excited to announce that the new Samsung Galaxy Note10 phones will help you get more done right out of the box, natively integrated with best-in-class productivity apps and services from Microsoft including OneDrive, Outlook, Your Phone app with Link to Windows, and access to Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

OneDrive makes it easy to back up, protect, share and access your photos and files from any of your devices, anywhere1. Today we also announced that soon, OneDrive will be natively integrated into the Samsung Gallery app, providing automatic syncing of your photos and videos and enabling new protection and cross-device experiences. The Galaxy Note10 will be the first to get the OneDrive integration, with more Samsung devices to follow. Coming this fall, you’ll have the option to sync your photos and videos to the cloud where they will be safe and accessible across all your devices.

Samsung plus OneDrive ensures your photos and files are synced and available across devices.

In addition to offering the ability to access your files from anywhere, the OneDrive app also has built-in sharing, security and productivity features. For example, you can share and collaborate on files and photo albums, and you can scan and save paper documents, receipts and whiteboards and then mark them up with your finger or the Samsung S Pen. You can also securely store IDs, travel docs and other important files in OneDrive Personal Vault, a protected area of OneDrive that can only be accessed with a strong authentication method or second step of identity verification, such as your fingerprint, face, or a PIN2 Locked files in the Personal Vault have an extra layer of security, keeping them more secured in the event someone gains access to your account or device.

OneDrive customers can get 5GB of free storage with the option to purchase 100 GB or an Office 365 subscription which includes 1 TB plus other premium features including simple recovery from malicious malware and ransomware attacks.
