Windows 10: Samsung Galaxy S7 Cannot Connect to my PC.

I am trying to connect my Samsung Galaxy S7 to my Windows 10 Pro-64 Bit desktop PC, but it isn't showing up in file explorer. It is plugged to the computer via a USB hub, however I don't think that is the problem as my phone still charges. I have my phone's USB settings set to the media transfer setting. In the Printers and Devices, there is no phone or MTP option. I was also only to find my phone in the add devices menu once, and when I tried adding it, it told me that it couldn't find a network profile for it. I have tried two USB ports (both in USB hubs, but they were different ones), and now I'm running updates on my phone and PC to see if it fixes the problem. I am running Android 8, if that helps. Am I missing something or doing something wrong?

Google Calendar and Samsung Galaxy S7

When I enter dates on my desktop Google calendar, the information is transferred to my Samsung Galaxy S&. However, the desktop calendar is not accepting entries made on my Samsung Galaxy S7. Since the communication seems to be a one-way issue, is a
setting on my desktop blocking the entries?
