Windows 10: Samsung Magician 4.8

Now that Samsung's Magician software is finally available for Windows 10, I have my SSD running with Rapid Mode again.

I notice that the application has created a start up entry "Samsung Rapid Mode Notification Utility". This places an icon in the right corner of the Taskbar. Is this a necessary start up utility for Rapid Mode to work?

How to Enable AHCI for SSD in Windows 10.

AHCI mode looks enabled on Bios, but disabled on Samsung Magician. Also read and write values looks correct. What gives? Is it a bug on Samsung Magician?

Hi Ban, are you running a Samsung SSD & Samsung Magician 4.4, with RAPID mode turned on.

If so Updating the Samsung Magician software should get rid of the BSOD's according to the Samsung forum . . .

 

Don't have that entry you write of. Nothing on the right corner of the taskbar either. Rapid Mode is enabled and there's quite a substantial increase in performance!

 

I have the entry when viewing the Task Manager link under Start Up Tab in MSCONFIG Menu.

 

Samsung 850 Pro users 4.5 is still the latest version, just checked 4 pm CT 10/28

 

I have the entry in "startup" and "services running" which can be accessed from right click the taskbar, click on "task mgr" but no icon.
No worries just curious and I guess wrong forum to be discussing as well?

That Icon should be just for the main program Magician that you can set up not to start when Windows boots. Then you should have 2 more entries. Samsung Rapid mode Notification AND Samsung Rapid mode Service Those two leave alone!!! Unless you don't want to use Rapid mode. During install thou, Magician also loads and sets itself to startup every time you reboot.
So you should have TWO entries in your task manager for these.
