Samsung Magician Changing Windows Power Plan?

Hello all. I recently sat in a new Samsung 970 NVMe drive and ran Samsung Magician's benchmarking tool to see if I get full x4 lane speed on it, I did. After that I noticed that my power plan was changed from balanced (recommended) to maximum performance and that my monitor should turn off from 10 minutes to 15 minutes. I was wondering if this is normal for this program, or maybe the benchmarking tool? Or if something else is changing my plans? It's a barebone installation of 1903, barely nothing on it. If someone have a Samsung SSD and could confirm this to me with Samsung Magician then that would be awesome! It only took me like 3 minutes total.

    :)

    Power plan?

Upon checking, it seems that there's nothing wrong with your system. It is usual that you have to double-click your mouse before your monitor wakes up.

For the meantime, we suggest changing the power plan by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + S.
    • Type in Power Settings.
    • On the pop-up window, choose Additional power settings.
    • Select High performance.

After changing the power plan, we suggest that you monitor the changes made and check if that will work for you.

Get back to us if you need further help.
