Windows 10: Samsung Magician

Discus and support Samsung Magician in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; Hi, I don't see any mention of these drives requiring a NVMe driver and SM mentions it supports Rapid Mode for these.     I think the problem with your pov of these drives, is that they all come in NON m.2 forms, and that is what SM works with. The Samsung techs have told me that SM does NOT work with m.2 drives, because they don't need it. Those drives you mentioned also come in 2.5" form factors, and those are the ones supported by SM rapid mode.

    I am only relaying the information given to me by Samsung, and my own experience. According to Samsung, rapid mode will NOT work on m.2 sata drives. I also have a m.2 sata Samsung drive, and rapid mode does not work on it.

    Depends on what we are saying here, I have Samsung ssd's installed, and my M.2 drive uses a NVMe driver, SM can SEE this drive with no problem, can also update its firmware. BUT you can't run rapid mode on this drive. Think this was the discussion originally, I could be wrong thou.

    The original discussion is that Josey Wales said he could not use rapid mode on one of this drives, and I said he should be able to, as that drive is listed as being supported. Then he said it was not a sys drive and so it wouldn't work on a non-sys drive. So I showed him that I had it on a non-sys drive, and that he should try to change settings, or reload the software...
    And all of this came from that. *Doh

    OK, but SM951 has never been added to the supported list. Do you have an M.2 850 or 860 EVO to test?

    Nope. The only other m.2 I have is a 960. That is why I said it is what I got from Samsung tech support, and my experience. It would be interesting to see if anyone else on here has a supported m.2 sata drive that could test this.

    My laptop has M.2 SSD interface. I will test this if I ever upgrade the drive. Current is Micron/Crucial.
