    Samsung SSD T5 - will not recognize on Windows 10 PC, Build 2004... works great on Build 1909

    Hi - I have a an external Samsung Portable SSD T5 running over USB 3.1

    this drive works great on my PC, but after the recent upgrade to build 2004, it no longer recognizes when plugging it in via USB.

    Device Manager shows this:

    Device SCSI\Disk&Ven_Samsung&Prod_Portable_SSD_T5\8&145b620a&0&000000 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.

    Last Device Instance Id: SCSI\Disk&Ven_ASMT&Prod_2115\000000

    Class Guid: {4d36e967-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}

    Location Path:

    Migration Rank: 0xF000FC000000F030

    Present: false

    Status: 0xC0000719

    This external SSD device works great on other machines that are still running Windows 10 Build 1909, but fails to recognize on the same PC hardware as soon as the machines are upgraded to Build 2004.

    Does anybody out there know how to work around this short of rolling all my machines back to 1909? I know this is a driver compatibility / migration issue of some sort....

    :)
