Windows 10: SAP local system for Individual testing

SAP consultants seem to earn oodles of money these days


-- if you want to try out a local individual system on your own PC (Free) then there's the SAP trial preview rel 7 SP04 -- complete with the ABAP programming system and technical stuff so you can play with it -- the DB server needs to be installed on a Linux system -- CENTOS 8 works -- there are problems on the latest versions of OPENSUSE and FEDORA . It installs either on a VM or host system --

You install the SAPGUI on Windows -- it's all in the package --but definitely not for the faint hearted. !!!

If you've plenty of time these days try it -- the free license is renewable every 90 days indefinitely and you do it on your own PC - not a convoluted process.

Have fun --it's a bit of a mammoth task but worth it

I got mine working on a Linux host with the sapgui on a Windows VM.

Compatibility with Mercedes SAP system

I equally await with interest as my dealer realy did not wish to supply the sap phone knowing I had a n95-2, much as I would like to have the contents of the contact list uploaded. I am told the cclass has better connectivity than some others.

Personally i went with the blue tooth hf? unit, so it would link to all the phones in the house hold rather than the only one we have with sap. (new clk with comand)

Local account installation question

I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are

• Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
• No Internet connection during the install
• static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)
