Windows 10: Save power mode when on battery or plugged in

Hey guys,



Since v1903, unplugging or plugging in my AC adapter does not restore my desired power mode.



By default, I would like my laptop to default to Battery Saver power mode when it is not plugged in and Better Performance power mode when it is plugged in.



This used to work perfectly last year but since the v1903 update, it has been broken. Is there something I can do to fix this or is it up to the Windows team to fix it?



Oh yeah, sometimes the battery panel UI does not even update to reflect the current state (On Battery or Plugged In)

Power mode plugged in but battery is not charging

I am using HP Pavillion Notebook with windows 10 home basic OS installed on it. It is now showing that power mode is plugged in but battery is still not charging. It is also not starting without any power source plugged in.

For your Lenovo P500 laptop, there are three possible power management software that came pre-loaded with your device:
Lenovo Energy Management, Lenovo Power Manager, or
OneKey Optimizer. There should be an icon on your system tray to launch the power management software currently installed in your Windows 10 device.

As an alternative, you can download Lenovo Settings which is available for free from the Windows store and follow these steps:

• Open Lenovo Settings.
• Select the energy management icon.
• Set Conservation mode as Off.
• With AC adapter plugged in, the battery level will keep increasing.

N85: 'Unable to Deactivate Power Saving Mode'

Hi,

My N85 currently shows power saving mode (the battery icon has a moon symbol overlaid), and when I plug in any charger, i get the message 'Charging' followed by a message 'Unable to Deactivate Power Saving Mode'.

The same message appears if I press the power button and select 'Deactivate power saving'. The message remains even though the battery is 100% charged.

The phone appears to be working normally with full 3G connection, Wireless, Bluetooth etc all able to be controlled manually or via the profile.

So...

Did I do something to force the phone to stay in power saving mode? How do I remove this message? What effect does Power Saving mode have?
