    Scaling Concerns

I want to experiment with different scaling percentages on my system W10 Pro v1909 64-bit, 1080p monitor. I know this issue is fraught with difficulties. If I do this, don't like the results, and Windows won't let me undo the damage, will restoring a system image put the situation back to where it was? Or does some actual hardware change of some sort occur when changing scaling values? MS says, "It might be hard to go back to your original settings." I vaguely remember making some kind of change once that I didn't like and wasn't allowed to undo. I guess I restored a system image to get back to where I was but don't really remember, and I'm not sure if it was even on my current machine. Thanks for any advice.

    Hi J,

The scaling issues with your display monitor can be caused by an outdated operating system. To further isolate the concern, we suggest that you check for the latest update for Windows by following these steps:

    • Click on Start or the Windows Logo on your taskbar.
    • Select Settings or the gear icon and click Updates & security.
    • Click on Check for updates.

If any updates are found, install it and wait for Windows to complete the update and then restart the device.
