Windows 10: Scan App not Working

    Scan App not Working


    I changed printers and cannot change the printer to the new one. I have uninstalled the app and no luck. The drop down screens for printer, flatbed, and type of file do not even show up. Am attaching an image of the screen. Any help would be helpful as I have lots of scanning to do. Thanks!

    Sorry to know that you are facing issues using the Scan app on Windows 10. I will certainly help.

    I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it resolves the issue.



    Step 1: Run the Apps troubleshooter



    Run the App troubleshooter to fix issues that may prevent app from working properly.

    Click here to
    download and run the Apps troubleshooter.



    Step 2: Check for the update



    Go to Windows Store and check any updates
    available for the Scan App. If available, install the updates and see if the app work as expected.

    Hello,

    By default, scans are saved in a Scans folder inside the Pictures. Here are the steps on how to get there:

    • Press Windows and type pictures
    • Click Pictures and double-click the Scans folder.

    Furthermore, we suggest that you repair your Word application by following the steps on this

    Scan App not Working

    Mail app will not open on 10041.


    Hello Adam,

    This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Scan App not Working :)

    In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
