Windows 10: Scanned images unable to be attached & sent via email.

I use a Canon printer model Pixma TS6260. Recently, while still being able to scan & file images, the function of attaching & sending the images no longer works ?

• Save the scanned images as jpg files
• Compose an email, then click the Attach Button (looks like a paper clip)
• Select the images and click OK
• Wait for the images to be attached and click Send

 

attaching scans to email

In windows 10, both in outlook or msn email, I am unable to select an individual scan from the scans folder and attach it to an email. Also unable to name the scans. How can I attach? When I tried, I got a small picture of the scan to appear in the email,
not an attachment icon.

PS My options for posting are all frivolous categories - nothing on basic functions.

To attach a document file on an email, you can follow the step given below:

For Windows 10 Mobile:

• Launch to File Explorer app.
• Press and hold the file that you need to attach on the email, and select
  Share button.
• Select Outlook Mail on the suggested applications.

For Windows Phone 8.1:

• Download and install
  Files app.
• Launch Files app.
• Tap and hold the document that you need to attach on the email, and select
  Share button.
• Select the Mail app on the suggested applications.
