    Hi Thaddeus, Greg is here (an Independent advisor).

    The critical process died issue is usually due to a bad driver or an error in memory.

    Below you’ll find 4 steps to follow.

    Run an SFC scan and then a full antivirus scan

    1) Press the Windows+X shortcut key and select PowerShell (Admin).

    2) Type Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and hit Enter.

    3) Wait until the command is completed.

    4) Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.

    What can you see now?

    Critical process died

    I am having the error "critical process died" and the blue screen. I am trying all the fixes that have been suggested. Now the PC is "scanning a repairing drive (CScannow feature will not complete, got critical process died error W10 x64 :)". It says it is 100% complete but has been that way for some time now. It is still
    spinning so I hate to interrupt the process. Any idea how long this process takes after it says 100% complete?
