Windows 10: Scheduled job not running at system startup

Discus and support Scheduled job not running at system startup in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; I use a proprietary backup system which uses the task scheduler to kick off its scheduled backups.     Scheduled job not running at system startup


    I use a proprietary backup system which uses the task scheduler to kick off its scheduled backups. One of these is set to be started at system startup time, but it does not get run. A time-scheduled backup ran OK, though. So it looks as if something is broken on system startup backups.


    The OS is Windows 10 pro 1903.


    Has anyone any ideas on how to get the startup backups to work?

    Detect scheduled job

    You must click on the "Task Scheduler Library" line on the left to see the tasks. There are dozens of them!

    Task Scheduler doesn't seem to list any task running at 30' 25".

    It also suggests that no tasks have run in the last 30 days which is dubious.

    Am I looking in the right place? Any other suggestions?

    • Have you tried recreating the task? If so, are you getting the same issue?
    • Have you tried creating a new task?
    Meanwhile, we suggest that you ensure that the Task Scheduler is running. You can verify if the service is running by following these steps:

    • Press Windows key + R on your keyboard.
    • Type services.msc and hit Enter.
    • Under Services (Local), make sure that the Task Scheduler service's status is
      Started or Enabled.
