Windows 10: Screen Freeze

Hello, I run a windows 10 on 16gb ram and intel i5 8400 processor. The freeze that occured in my PC is that when im playing a game, the game and every background app will run fine, but the screen freeze and you won't be able to click anything outside the app youre in right now. in example : im running a game, in the background i have my browser and discord running, the discord and browser runs just fine because i still can talk with my friends, but when i alt tab from my game to the discord, the discord freezes and i can't click anything on it, but im still able to alt tab to my game, and to f

Andre, thanks for your suggestions. I performed all steps as you listed and it appears that there were

some problems that have been corrected. I will let you know in a day or so if the "freeze" problem

occurs again. Many thanks for your help --- this took longer than I expected!

Screen freeze

'screen freeze' is a very vague term.

Can you describe the issue with more detail?

ex: the image on screen freezes, but i can hit the power button and windows shuts down normally, and i can hear sounds in the background.
