    Screen glitches - Intel chipset

    Hello everyone, I'm experiencing a very annoying issue with my Notebook that is making my screen glitch and flicker like crazy, making it unusable sometimes.

    Hope someone can help me with this.

    I have a notebook with the following specs: Intel Atom x5-z8350 with Intel HD Graphics 400. 4gb RAM. Windows 10 Pro.

    I tried everything, literally everything I came across to solve this. But the issue end up appearing againg after some reboots. It all started a few days after buying the notebook, because of the pandemic I can't take it to customer service.

    It's a random glitch that happens from time to time, and even turning the WIFI adapter On triggers this annoying bug. It happens when I open the Windows Menu, the Settings apps, or whatever I'm using. I downloaded the latest Intel Drivers, uninstalled those and re-installed the ones my OEM provided me. Even used Iobit Driver Updater but didn't worked out. Windows Updates didn't solved this issue. I disabled certain Windows Services that some blogs said we're causing this kind of problems, didn't worked... Tried deactivating all Intel Power Saving features, didn't helped. This happens having the Task Manager opened too.

    I tried some Ubuntu distros and there my screen works flawlessly, and this glitch doesn't appears on the BIOS screen neither. So I'm 100% sure it's a software/driver related issue. But I'm going crazy looking for a solution, and I don't know what else to do. I can't switch to Linux because of Photoshop and Lightroom

    Thanks for reading and hope I can find some help here

    Intel Readies P55 Chipset B3 Stepping Update

    Intel's is readying a hardware update for its P55 Express chipset, currently the only core-logic for the company's brand new socket LGA-1156 processor platform. The new B3 stepping of the P55 PCH will bring with it a little more than new MM number and S-spec numbers. A list of changes is as follows:
    • New MM number and S-spec numbers for the converted products;
    • Firmware and minor BIOS updates are required with the conversion;
    • Processor MRC/microcode update required to enable future processors;
    • Recommended storage driver upgrade from Intel MSM 8.9 to Intel RST 9.5.
    Although it is listed that the MRC update enables 'future processors', Intel, in a statement issued to X-bit labs assured that the current B2 stepping of the chipset (found on current socket LGA-1156 motherboards) does not leave out support for any of Intel's new LGA-1156 processors that are slated for release in the very near future. The dual-core "Clarkale" 32 nm processor will be supported by both B2 and B3 steppings of the chipset.

    P55 B3 stepping is pin-identical to P55 B2, and hence motherboard vendors will not have to come up with new designs. Sampling of the new stepping began as early as on October 02, 2009, and it is scheduled for shipment to manufacturers by the 7th of December, 2009. P55 is the performance core-logic for the LGA-1156 platform. It supports Core i5 and Core i7 "Lynnfield" processors with discrete graphics.

    Which version of Intel Chipset is installed?

    When accessing Device Manager and then System Devices and than any of the "Intel 200 Series Chipset Family PCI …" listings, it shows Intel Driver Version 10.1.1.38 dated October 3, 2016.

    When accessing "Intel Management Engine Interface", it displays Intel Driver Version 1828.12.0.1152 dated 7/12/2018.

    What I've been trying is to update the Intel 200 Series Chipset drivers to newer to October 3, 2016.

    Please advise.
