Windows 10: Screen goes black when I use the touchpad. Running Windows 11

I have aHP Laptop running windows 11. Everytime I use the touchpad, the screen goes black. The only way I can get the touchpad to work is to uninstall the driver and on restart then it works fine., until the laptop is shut off. When I use it again, I have to uninstall the driver all over. Is there a fix?
