Discus and support "Screen Snip" tool delay (like 'Snipping Tool')? in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; I like the quick convenience of the 'Screen Snip' tool (opened by pressing Win+Shift+S).     "Screen Snip" tool delay (like 'Snipping Tool')?


    I like the quick convenience of the 'Screen Snip' tool (opened by pressing Win+Shift+S). However, is there an option to implement a delay (like the previous 'Snipping Tool')? Without a delay, it's pretty much impossible to capture pop-up menus.

    Your post is unclear. Please post a step-by-step description of what you are doing, e.g. like so:

    • Open the snipping tool
    • Click "New"
    • etc.

    Unfortunately the snipping tool is being replaced by the snip & sketch tool. Eventually it’ll disappear from Windows, you’ll be able to use it until this happens.

    I’ve added snip & sketch shortcut to the taskbar Instead of using the shortcut.

    If you open it this way you can Edit the screenshot & then choose where it’s saved rather than using the shortcut which does save to the clipboard.

    In Win10 type Snip into the search box in your primary monitor toolbar. Snipping Tool will show up at the top of the list.
