  1. Screen time limits question

    Hi,

I have 3 kids who I have created Microsoft accounts for, in order to allow them to sign into my older laptop.

On the laptop, I have set screen time limits under my Microsoft account for each child.

I have been looking for a way to make Windows sign out of their accounts instead of locking their sessions, because the laptop only runs well when a single account is signed in. If other accounts are signed in but locked/idle, they still leave processes running which consume memory and CPU.

I have not been able to find any options for controlling what Windows does when screen time ends, but I can't imagine that I am the only person who would want to change what happens.

I can also imagine a scenario wherein a parent has their children using a family desktop PC. The parent might want to power the PC off when screen time ends so as to avoid the electricity use, rather than leaving it running waiting for a human to power it off.

Is it possible to have Windows do anything other than logging out?

    :)
