Windows 10: Screen Went Black

I bought my HP Desktop All-In-One a couple months and it had been working great. I turned it on this morning, then left it for a few hours. When I moved the mouse to get the screen back on it stayed black. I checked the cables and they were fine and I put fresh batteries into my mouse but still no luck. Finally I held down the power button to shut down the computer for a few minutes. When I powered it back up, the screen appeared so that was good.


Here's what I'm wondering ~ Under Settings, System, Power & Sleep, Screen there's the options ~ When plugged in turn off after 1 minute right up to Never. I have mine set for the screen to turn off after 30 min's because I only use my computer a few times a day . A friend suggested I set the screen to turn off NEVER. What would you advise? Thanks so much.
