Screenshot Storage on One-Drive -- Has Something Changed? Why?

In the past, when I took a screenshot, it was automatically stored in a folder on One-Drive named Screenshots. I knew how to get to the screenshot, so I made no effort to understand the process. For a few days, I have been aware that new screenshots were no longer being stored in "Screenshots" on One-Drive. Today I went looking to see if I could find my more recent screenshots. It appears that on either January 26 or January 27, 2025, screenshots started being stored in a folder on One-Drive that is named "Screenshots 1." I am sure I did not consciously create the new folder "Screenshots 1."

    :)

    Hard Drive Storage

    Hi William,

In Windows 10, you can change the default Save location for apps, documents, music, picture and video files to another drive or partition. You can follow the steps below to change the default Save location:

    • If your Windows 10 version is 1703 and later, go to Start Menu
      > Settings > System settings
      > Storage> Change where new content is saved.

    • Otherwise, go to Start Menu > Settings
      > System settings > Storage.

Should you need further assistance, don't hesitate to get back to us.
