Windows 10: SD Card not being read in my pc.

I know this is not a problem with the Micro sd card itself. but I do have only a micro sd and my pc does only have a normal sd slot.

It worked with a adapter. but I my pc is now having problems with it. just yesterday it worked fine. my Micro-sdcard is not the issue cause i tried it with another pc that has a micro-sd slot and not a normal sd card slot. so is it a problem with the adapter or something? If so. do i need to clean it or something. or do i need a new one?

I keep my files for custom made application on it. or pictures I'm making.

I wanna upload these files to onedrive or copy them to this pc, but as my pc cannot read them, and the other one is very slow. I dont know what to do.

Cant read the SD card

Oftentimes, a corrupted device can result to issues in reading your SD card. For us to isolate the case further and determine the appropriate resolution, provide answers to the following questions:

• Have you checked if other external devices/accessories are properly detected on your device?
  
• Can you confirm if the SD card is being detected on another device aside from the one that you're using?
• What procedures have you taken so far?

As an initial troubleshooting, we suggest that you run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter by following these steps:

• Press Windows key + W and type Troubleshooting.
• Choose Troubleshooting.
• Click on View All option on the left pane.
• Click on Hardware and Devices and follow the prompt to run the troubleshooter.

This tool checks the hardware connected to your computer for common issues and gives details on how to rectify them. If there are any suggestions given by the troubleshooter, you may try those and check if it helps.

Phone is not reading the SD card.

Thank you for posting your query to Microsoft Community. We understand that you Lumia 640 XL LTE is having issues reading your SD memory card.

There is a possibility that the SD memory card corrupted. Please try to perform a Scan Disk maintenance on it by following the steps below:

• Turn off your phone and remove the SD card. Use a SD card reader and plug it in to your computer.
  
• Open Computer by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Computer.
• Right-click the SD card drive that you want to check, and then click "Properties".
  
• Click the "Tools" tab, and then, under Error-checking, click Check Now.
  
• Put a check mark on the "Automatically fix the file system errors" and "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors".
• Click Start.
  • Wait for the Scan Disk process to complete, then mount your SD memory card back to your phone.

sd card wont read anymore

I believe reading between the lines I know the answer to this but I will ask anyway: Is the card readable by your PC using a card reader?

If not, it could be that the card is corrupted in some way and a reformat (appreciate that's painful but...) could fix the card.

If it is readable by a PC but not by your 1520, have you tried another SD card in the 1520? That will isolate it down to this particular SD card or the reader in your 1520 itself.

If no other card is readable in the 1520, I would suggest as a last step to do a factory reset (make sure you have a backup to OneDrive) then try to read a card again. It could be, somehow, that the driver for the card reader has gone wonky (technical term)
and a reset will fix it. Or, worst case, there is a physical problem with the card reader.
