Windows 10: SD Card not working on Windows 10

Hi,

I've bought a 32GB microSD card for use on my netbook (Model: Schneider SCL101BTP), with Windows 10 on it. However, once I insert it into my PC, Windows Explorer starts freezing: my SD card is detected, but it won't open or show how much storage is left, and clicking on the SD card icon will make the Explorer work for eternity. Once I remove the card from the PC, everything goes back to normal.


I've tried formatting the card with the NTFS format, but it didn't work either. However, when used with a Linux distribution, the card works just fine, so I guess the problem isn't from the SD card itself.


So how do you fix this?

By the way, if you're going to ask me to update to the latest Windows version: I've tried updating to version 1803, but it reverted back to my previous version for an unknown reason.

SD Card reader not working.

• Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
• What are the other troubleshooting steps have you done so for?
