Windows 10: SD not recognising

Hi guys,


Partial novice when it comes to computer so bare with me please.


I bought a SanDisc SD card with an adapter a few days ago, It arrived and when i tested it it seemed to work fine.


However, this morning I have formatted it and then it now isnt recognised.


I have tried on two devices my laptop with both a USB reader and the built in reader and on another pc with a USB reader.


Through my laptop card reader it says "Please insert a disc into SDHC F:.

If I try it through a USB card reader then it says "please insert a disc into USB Drive E:" but If I connect a USB mouse to that port it works fine


Ive had a look online and it says to go onto disk management and to change the name of the drive in the partition, but drive F doesnt show up. I get "Disk 0 partition 1" which doesnt allow me to change the drive name as all the options are grayed out except "help" so that doesnt seem to be an option for me


I also saw to try and update the drivers, but my laptop says theyre all up to date.


Im getting quite frustrated with it now so any help anyone can offer would be great.

If no go, I would suggest exchanging the Micro-SD adapter (if it came with it) and/or the card.

I agree with @Berton - get a USB Memory Card Adapter that accepts a Micro-SD card if you don't have a integrated SD slot. IF you do, all you need is the MIcro-SD to SD adapter.
