Windows 10: SDK reveals how apps could run on a dual-screen foldable Windows 10 device

A report earlier this week suggested that Microsoft’s Surface Andromeda has already been pushed back and may never see daylight before 2019. But the software giant is still supposed to develop the APIs for the foldable Andromeda within the Windows 10 Redstone 5 update and the latest SDK has more evidence in this regards.

Windows 10 SDK Build 17692 (Redstone 5) comes with support to run two-pane view apps. In simple words, the apps can finally run on dual-screen devices, like Microsoft’s Surface Andromeda. This is yet another evidence that the project already reached an advanced development stage.

Developer Zhyowen Cui posted a screenshot of an app built on latest APIs from Windows 10 SDK. This allows “two views (in the same app) to run side by side, or stacked when in portrait.”

In other words, the apps would run on any form factor, including a tablet or laptop with two-screens, this means apps can adapt their interface depending on the orientation of the screens.

How can I use the SDK?

To add the SDK to an app project, follow these steps:

Unzip the SDK zip file in your source code working area.

Open PubMatic’s sample app; use one of the following methods:

Select the app’s solution file.

Create a new Universal Windows app project in the Visual Studio IDE.

To include a reference to the SDK in your app, do one of the following:

Add the SDK as a .dll to your app (see below for instructions).

Add the source code of the SDK to your app (see below for instructions).

To add the SDK as a .dll:

In Solution Explorer, right-click References.

Click Add Reference.

Locate the SDK .dll in your workspace.

Click Add.

After you add the SDK .dll, you’ll see it in the References section of Solution Explorer.

To add the SDK source code:

Select the Solution explorer and add the existing SDK source project into the IDE.

Locate the SDK project from your workspace and select the .csproj file of the SDK.
The SDK project and application project are added in IDE.

Adding the SDK project:

Add the reference of the SDK project to the application.

Go to Application -> References -> Add New Reference.

Browse to the .csproj file of the SDK.

Click OK.

Note: The .csproj file is visible only after you change the file filter to All Type.

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
