Windows 10: Search and Replace in Word and.or Excel

Windows 10 and Office 365

If I have a sentence in Word and I want to change a bit of text by adding something at the end of every sentence -
eg Old text. to read Old text. New text.
I can search for the paragraph marker using ^p and replace it with " New text.^p so that Old text.^p becomes Old text. New text.^p
My sentence is now Old text. New text.

I want to do the same with text in cells in a Word or Excel table, but I don't know what control character to use. It's not ^p. Can anyone tell me what it is at the end of text in each cell of Word and Excel? Word shows a small circle with 4 spikes (a mini Corona!); Excel doesn't show anything.

Word, Excel and Adobe wont print

To further troubleshoot your printing concern, we suggest that you create a test user profile. Using the test user profile, try to print an Excel, Word and Adobe file.

To create a test user profile, follow these steps:

• On Search, type Setting then hit the Enter key.
  
• On Settings window, select Accounts.
• Select Family & other people.
• Select Add someone else to this PC.
• Name the user profile as TEST.
• Assign a password for TEST user, then select Next.
• Sign in TEST user.

Please take note if you will experience the printing issue on TEST user.

Word and Excel

What you had on the desktop was not Word and Excel, but *shortcuts* to Word and Excel. If you have Office 365, you have Word and Excel, but you apparently don't have shortcuts to them on the desktop. Do a search for Word and Excel and open them there.

• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
• Are the Excel and Word documents the only files affected?
