    Search Bar + Start Button Opens White Screen??


    Hi All,

    Whenever I click on my search bar or start menu, a white screen appears with a blue loading animation in the middle. I can escape by using ALT + TAB but am unable to use my search bar which is quite frustrating.

    Help would be appreciated.

    the following questions:


    • Is the white bar present regardless of what program you are using on your computer?

    • Can you send us a screenshot of the
      white bar?
      Please edit the image if any personal information may be exposed.

    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?



    This issue could also be related to
    damaged screen. We suggest that you contact your manufacturer to have your computer checked for hardware issues.

    Windows 10 START and SEARCH buttons don't work

    For some reason both my main Windows button and Search buttons don't work. Other buttons on the Task Bar work as usual. Right click on either button gives a white-on-black context menu. Anyone have a suggestion, please?

    Start button and search bar not working

    Problem that start button and search do not work has NOT been resolved. I have tried the steps suggested in previous answers but this has not worked. Altogether very frustrating and a big turn off to my opinion of Windows 10. HELP!
