Windows 10: search function on taskbar

just reinstalled win 10 but a large black box p0ps up on screen , emanating from the search white box lower left taskbar


and asks me to strart typing , search etc ... it disappears when i press escape

bu t alway s returns.. i am using a german keboard , ie selexted in language settings , with US keys


i dont have cortana i believe


how to get rid of this box appearing ?


2. i use settings on taskbar to swithch between k board languages, but if i dotn use pc for a while it switches to another setting , or if i turn pc off, it goes to engl or french etc


how to fix ??

Taskbar search

Did not do anything to help. The search in File Explorer works fine. The first and last screen shot shows a search leading to no results but the file explorer finds them just fine. The last one shows my indexing options.

Windows 10: how to restore search bar in the taskbar?

When I right click on Taskbar, there is no "Search" in the list.
