Windows 10: searchapp using resources

hi is it normal for the windows search to use this resources or i got a kind of virus.note i got a virus recently but i got it out of my computer and i was sure it is not in my computer but my thughts are killing me and i keep afraid of it is still in here and i think it is in my search app. any advice or help please?

SearchApp crash

You did not get a BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) failure though, correct? This is an application crash?

If so then this is the wrong forum as it is mean for BSOD crashes only as the header says.





You would be better posting in the General Support. If you like I can ask one of the Admins to move your thread there for you.

 

Windows SearchApp error

**Repair all Windows apps via Powershell

Windows key+X then select Windows Powershell (Admin)

copy paste the command below one at a time then press Enter. Please ignore the red errors and let the process complete.

Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.Windows.ShellExperienceHost | foreach {Add-AppxPackage -register "$($_.InstallLocation)\appxmanifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode}

Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Restart your Computer

family history resource file 4.0 update to 4.02

Family history resource file is determined to be a third-party application, I would suggest you to contact the developer for more information about how to update family history resource file.

Suggest you to follow the steps.

1. Install the Resource File Viewer 4.0

2. Right-Click on the Resource File Viewer icon on your desktop and select Properties.

3. Click the Compatibility Tab

4. Put a check in the box to run in compatibility mode.

5. Put a check in the box to "Run this program as an administrator"

6. Click OK"
