  1. Security alert!

Hi, guys. So I woke up this morning, I booted my laptop as usual, only to find that my firewall is turned off, along with my real time Web protection inside of Malwarebytes premium.

I'm kinda panicking right now since I can't turn on firewall and real time web protection.

Inside windows security, everything seems fine. But in control panel, I get "wdefender firewall isn't using the recommended settings to protect your computer".

Also, on the Real time protection tab inside of Malwarebytes, malware protection is on as well as exploit and ransomware protection, but web protection is off, it makes me wait for too long but it doesn't turn on.

My system is up to date, I only have that feature update hanging.

    I would appreciate any help

    Emergency Alerts

    Hi Stephanie,

Just to confirm, is this the same thing that you tried on your phone, in order to turn off Amber Alerts?

    • Open Settings.
    • Tap on System.
    • Tap on Messaging.
    • Tap on the Change emergency alert settings link.
    • Turn on or off the emergency alerts you want.

Let us know if this was the same thing that you tried.

We would also suggest to reset your phone after doing these steps to ensure that the changes on your phone's settings will be refreshed.

Simply press and hold the Power and Volume down button for 15 seconds and then release your hold afterwards.

    Security alert!

    Security Alert Verification

I am trying to verify a security alert I have been receiving suggesting to call 866-288-3170 about a possible compromise of my system and devices. The internet security code mentioned is 055BCCAC9FEC. I have not called as I am not sure if this is a legitimate
site or a scam. Any input or similar case?
