    Security alerts.

Run Windows Update and install updates and restart your PC.

    Ran windows update, Updates current.

Try visit website using Microsoft Edge and see whether you are facing the same problem?

Have used Edge frequently and have had no problems.

If problem persist, in Internet Explorer, click on tools->Internet options, click on Advanced tab and then click reset.

I have to reset IE at lease once a month of less.

I am getting the black screen in my browsing also, comes and goes.

Thanks for the warning. I checked this desktop and I didn't have QuickTime installed. I'll check my other computers later.

  7. QuickTime, somebody actually still uses it? It has been discontinued by Apple anyway.
I am afraid, that flash will be abandoned as well, it is way better and safer than HTML5.

I have 4 computers....all had Quick Time installed though have never knowingly installed this app.
You would be surprised by how many apps have it integrated.
Suggest you download and install the free "Everything" app and do a search to confirm.

Haven't had Quicktime installed on any computer for years. VLC will play any media that requires it and browsers have built in add-ons to run files.

I have a CD/Jewel Case label program that uses QT and thus still have it installed. I rely on that program for audio CD production in my recording studio. It will be a major hit to quit using that program, all my CD labels (ink jet printable CD labels) and Jewel Case inserts are in that program's format. Hopefully the program vendor will upgrade it to not require QT.
