Windows 10: Security and privacy.

My Laptop allows me to sign in using my email. - which is how I set it up as Administrator. My user name is not recognized by my password as only my email address is.

I have done everything windows support online has said and still

I cannot add a name. When I select edit name there is no "add name" therefore I cannot access my security info as the usernamewhich is not my email is not recognized.

The last time I tried many months ago to use my password to access my information I was locked out on my laptop for nearly a month. As my Pc is awaiting a new hard drive I'm stuck if I get locked out again.

I'm not sure what my question is but I think it's how the hell do I get rid of my username-as it's only showing up on Security & Privacy, nowhere else or How do I add it to my profile when it hasn't got an "add a name"

Data security is an illusion. If someone wants your information bad enough they will get it.
I suggest you just enjoy your life and don't worry about it.

What can be locked, can be unlocked. My suggestion is if you want to be secure do not say or do anything online you wouldn't say to a cop........yes I troll cops in real life. Its a sickness.

That made me so facepalm. Some people have absolutely no clue. I hope they don't take you for granted with all this you're doing for them.

SonicWall is a good security product, so Mindweaver's suggestion sounds like a good one and should make for a rather bigger baby step. Let's hope they take it.
