Windows 10: Security Intelligence Update failed to install

Whenever I reset my laptop, signed in and ready to use, the Security Intelligence Update fails to install. This time, now that I have deleted my sync data...



...this shows up. This is, yet again, on a factory reset and I don't know what I can do. Any help would be appreciated.


By the way, this is on Windows 10 1909.

i try to configure VDI update for windows defender..the definition file was unpack to file server ..i set the folder security to everyone. but the update still failed.

I have Windows 10, Version 1909

In spite of Virus & threat protection indicating No action is needed, View update history says that " Security Intelligence Update for Windows Defender Antivirus KB2267602, (Version 1.309.304.0) Failed to instill on 2020-02-04 - 0x8024000b"

Can you tell me why this happened?

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
