Windows 10: Security package error in the transport layer in Windows 10 22H1

Hi! When I connect from my computer with a fresh Windows 10 pro 22H1 to my Fresh Windows Server 2019 with rdgw services, I get an error: Your computer can't connect to the remote computer because a security package error occurred in the transport layer.This happens immediately after installing the update: kb5027215. After uninstalling the update everything works! Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

Hi,

I am not computer savvy, so bear with me when answering your questions. I had Windows 7 and just updated to Windows 10 (Version 1803). I can no longer remote connect to my work computer. I connect to a Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard. I get
this error: "Your computer can't remote connect to the remote computer because a security package error occurred in the transport layer."
(No issues or errors when downloading Windows 10). I've insured all Windows Updates are up to date. I've uninstalled my virus software (To test connection). My wife's computer is identical to mine, though she upgraded from 7 to 10 last year. I can
remote connect to work on her computer without issues. Is a new update the problem? If so, how do I tell which one?

I have no idea what port I connect to, in case you ask. I've read that Windows 10 plays havoc on remote connection after version 1703? I don't know what else to compare on my wife's computer to see what is allowing her to connect. Both computers show
valid and up to date security certs for the Business Server with the correct names and web addresses showing. I've also tried clearing out credentials and passwords, as some have written and that didn't help. Before, I was able to utilize the remote connection
using Chrome and/or E11. I use E11 on my wife's computer, if that matters. Any other ideas to check that I can easily follow?

Hi Derek,

I've looked into this problem and found out that the error received could be triggered or caused by a corrupted credential. Clearing out credentials and passwords may help, but I want to verify what those credentials that you've deleted are for.

To work around this problem, I suggest looking into the Windows Credential Manager and delete only the entries that you know the login information like the username and password. Please follow these steps:

1. Type in Control Panel from Cortana search and click it from the search results.
2. Select Credential Manager.
3. Look into Windows Credentials and remove any entries that are related to the remote machine you are trying to connect to.
4. Once removed, try to connect again.

In case the issue persists after doing the steps above, I recommend that you post this concern in
Microsoft TechNet Forumsfor advance technical assistance from IT professionals regarding remotely connecting to Windows
Small Business Server 2011.
