Windows 10: Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package...

Hi


I keep on getting failure for "Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package KB2538243 - Error 0x80070643" on windows 10.


I have windows 10 version 1909 OS Build 18363.720.


As temporary fix has been provided : https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/3183922/how-to-temporarily-prevent-a-windows-update-from-reinstalling-in-windo


Once new update comes this Error reappears.


Please let me know, how can I permanently remove this Error?

Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2565063):

 

Uninstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack Chinese Dialog Box

When I try to run Windows Update it fails on "Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2538243)."

One of the fixes after search was to uninstall it and then run update again.

When I click on it in Uninstall Programs I get a Windows Installer chinese dialog box.






Running malwarebytes now . But any help would be appreciated

A lot of Windows code is C++ and needs that package installed for security. Also, most applications need the c++ redist to even execute *Rolleyes
