  1. Security update KB4532938

My computer is missing this security update but when I try to get my windows updates, my computer says it is up to date. I tried to manually download from the MS Catalog but the files would not install.

Has anyone had this issues and how can I get this update?

    :)

  3. KB4528760 and or KB4532938 trick monitor into thinking there is no signal when signal in fact does exist

I did some more troubleshooting and my original assessment that KB4528760 was the culprit was at least partially incorrect.

The problem persisted after uninstalling that update which I thought fixed it before. So, I uninstalled a variety of recent updates and then reinstalled all but two, KB4528760 and KB4532938. These are both Jan. 14 updates.

I think the real culprit is KB4532938. I tried reinstalling KB4528760 manually and it says it's not applicable. I downloaded the correct version. I double-checked. Could it be dependent on the faulty .NET update? (KB4532938 is a .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 cumulative
    update.)

I did also realize I can defer updates to a later and later date by pressing the pause update button multiple times, so now that everything is under control again I can at least breathe easy.

Has anyone noticed issues with KB4532938 and Radeon drivers specifically?

    Security update KB4532938

Failed update install of new 1909 KB4532938

Hi, welcome to tenforums. Repeated update failure such as you describe is not a typical experience.

I would suggest you start with basic integrity checks just to establish a baseline:

    a. Check your disk (as this is the second time you've had this sort of problem) e.g. use
HDTune free v2.55 - Health and Error scan tabs. (Find it with Google e.g, on Softpedia)

    b. If ok, from an admin command or Powershell prompt run
    chkdsk c: /scan

    c. If ok, from an admin command or Powershell prompt run
    SFC /SCANNOW

You can then try running the Windows Update Troubleshooter and post the result,
    and then
Reset Windows Update in Windows 10

then try the update again. This may well do the same.

What security software are you running?

Try manually downloading the update and installing it:
    KB4532938 Cumulative Update .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 Windows 10 Jan. 14

    - includes download links.

Note the comments following do not include your error number.

3rd party free utilities can do this (Pro users have more options) and let you manually check for updates e.g.
    Sledgehammer (e.g. from Majorgeeks)
    or
Enable or Disable Windows Update Automatic Updates in Windows 10
    Option 7
