Windows 10: "Seeing" and sometimes "Not-Seeing" a secondary HD installed in a PC.

I am having concerns about "Seeing" and sometimes "Not-Seeing" a secondary HD installed in a PC. I have a Lenovo ThinkCentre PC Tower w/ 1TB SSD as the Primary (Used for programs, etc.), then a Secondary Seagate 5TB HD used only for data and syncing of Five (5) One-Drive Accts (5TB Total) and Two (2) Share-Point Accts (2TB Total).


The concern comes during the day as you are working the physical secondary drive loses connection with the One Drive accts.


What is happening? HD crashing?

Thank you for this suggestion Railtech, but not there yet...
I checked this article, downloaded the recommended RaR file, extracted, and followed the advice BUT Device Mgr on my PC does not find a driver to install in the folder of extracted files (yes, Use Subfolders was checked *Smile.
Just for fun, I did try installing the Universal Android USB driver (though this was not mentioned in the article). This lets the Device Mangler see & list my phone as an "Android Phone" instead of "Other --> Unknown Device" but ... still nothing File Explorer can see.

I just looked on the BLU site for R1 HD support, and there is NOTHING there about using USB. Does not seem to be supported!!! I'll be damned if I have to do a two-step dance through the cloud to get stuff onto my computer!

Since I do not see a Device Mangler msg. about unsigned drivers, I am reluctant to try the route of disabling a requirement for signed drivers. At this point I don't have much confidence that I would be installing anything safe & useful. D.M. msg. is "Could not find driver software for your device": does this really mean no signed driver? Do I need to go down that rat hole? Or?

 

Win7 installer doesnt see my HDD.

Have found this in the past when that happens:

Try the above and report back.

If that does not work then there is something wrong with the SATA ports on the board or something wrong with the hard drive itself.

 

Win10 Pro does not see installed programs on second HD drive?


I have many programs on that D: drive. AutoCad, ImgBurn, Roxio Creator NXT, Nuance Natural Speaking 13 and many others. I just thought (maybe silly of me) that they would all appear in the APPS listings, but they are not there. I will try your suggestion to create a shortcut and see if that works. I was just puzzled. Thanks for answering my question.
