    Segoe UI Semibold font bug?

Hi, I came across the following irregularity in the Segoe UI Semibold font:

Segoe UI Semibold font bug? 47f5bd21-84e7-420e-ae6a-53250a7e84b7?upload=true.png

Only in 11pt the dots in i and j are not at the same height. Has this been fixed? Is there a newer version of the font?

    Thanks!

    :)

  3. Missing Segoe UI Font

I was messing around with a program called Weinaero Tweaker, which lets you change elements of Windows UI like the color of title bars and the size of fonts etc. Anyway I tried using a couple of different fonts as my system font with the tool, and then decided to just go back to the standard "Segoe UI Regular", only to discover it was no longer listed in font selection drop down box in Winaero Tweaker. I then checked Control Panel\Fonts\Segoe UI, and sure enough Segoe UI Regular and Segoe UI Bold are both missing.

Where can I get a copy of the Segoe UI fonts that come with Windows 10 to replace the ones I lost? I tried running sfc /scannow hoping that would fix it, but it didn't work. I also tried running windows update to no avail either. I am download the Windows 10 installation media right now, because I read you could install fonts off the disc, but I haven't been able to find any information on how to do so.

    Segoe UI Semibold font bug?

    Font Style

You can change the Windows System Font to whatever font you like by editing the Registry

NOTE: New font must be installed on your System!

    • Backup your registry (Windows + R keys and type regedit, hit enter, then select file - export)
    • Make sure you can see file extensions - Open Windows File Explorer, on the view tab, check the box marked 'File Name Extensions'
    • Create a new text file on your Desktop
    • Copy and paste the text below into it
    • Replace Verdana (in Bold below) with the name of the font (Bree Serif) you want to use as your default Windows 10 font
    • Save the file and then rename it to whatever you like, change the file extension to .reg
    • Double click the file and when asked select yes to merge to your registry
    • Reboot

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts]

    "Segoe UI (TrueType)"=""

    "Segoe UI (TrueType)"=""

    "Segoe UI Black (TrueType)"=""

    "Segoe UI Black Italic (TrueType)"=""

    "Segoe UI Bold (TrueType)"=""

    "Segoe UI Bold Italic (TrueType)"=""

    "Segoe UI Historic (TrueType)"=""

    "Segoe UI Italic (TrueType)"=""

    "Segoe UI Light (TrueType)"=""

    "Segoe UI Light Italic (TrueType)"=""

    "Segoe UI Semibold (TrueType)"=""

    "Segoe UI Semibold Italic (TrueType)"=""

    "Segoe UI Semilight (TrueType)"=""

    "Segoe UI Semilight Italic (TrueType)"=""

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\FontSubstitutes]

    "Segoe UI"="Verdana"

    I Hope this Helps!
