    Selecting a file crashes File Explorer


    I have a presentation to do tomorrow. Because I haven't paid for any Microsoft subscriptions, I've made my presentation using Google Slides. However, as a backup, I'm trying to save the file as a .pptx to have on a flashdrive should I not have access to the internet.


    Thing is, now I have a cursed PowerPoint file that causes any file it's selected within to hit me with a "not responding" message. I can't select the file in any way without crashing the folder.


    The ppt file is 14.1mb, I think (I wish I could.. click on it.) And probably includes a video and three .gif files.


    Is there any way to get rid of this file? Otherwise, it's an eternal cursed file for me...

    thats wierd... iv never had a large file crash explorer before....


    and i have files ranging upto 80GB...

    Windows Explorer crashing due to large files

    It's an .exe right? Explorer probably read its icon (to a cache) when it was a "small" file and now call the quits when it finds "such a big" file.

    If you want to delete it, use the console after killing explorer, you can run the console from TaskManager (Application -> New Task -> cmd). You might want to try copy the file to a different location (copy, not cut) and see if explorer can handle it in the new location before deleting it.
