  1. Self-Signed Excel Macros are not working after Windows 10 Update from 1809 to 1909

I only allow signed macros to run on our systems. For this reason I did sign my Excel macros with a self created certificate.

Two days ago I did update a couple PCs from Windows 10 1809 to Windows 10 1909 and since this moment the makros are not allowed to run anymore.

I have already tried to remove the signature and re-sign the Excel makro, but it did not work.

For some reason is this certificate not accepted anymore since the Windows update, even if it looks valid to me and it also allows to choose this certificate on a Windows 10 1909 machine to sign the macro.

If I create a new certificate with SELFCERT.EXE, then it works on this machine with any problems.

Why is my existing certificate not acceped anymore since the Windows update?

    :)

  2. Self-Signed Certificates no longer working since update

Morning all, annoyingly Windows decided to update itself over the weekend and rebooted my PC. This also happened with a few other work PCs and left users unable to login for an hour while it forced the update on us.

Luckily we only have a handful of Win 10 PCs and decided to leave the rest on 7 (wise move I'm now thinking!)

Anyway aside from that frustration, everything seems to be working except that our self-signed certificates no longer work.

We are using Excel 2003 and have macro security set to HIGH. The spreadsheets are still signed with our certificate but now Excel just treats these spreadsheets as if the cert doesn't exist. Has anyone else experienced this and could help please?

    Thanks
    John

Since Windows 10 upgrade, Outlook 2010 certifed macros won't work anymore as Digitally Certified macros

    Hell all,

Have upgraded my office PC (Win8.1 x64, Office 2010 Pro) to Win10 Home successfully but have found a security issue.

Since this upgrade, self certified code VBA (ThisOutllookSession,...) within Outlook 2010 won't work anymore.

It seems that the macros are now disabled and are no more triggered on events even they are digitally signed.

As a workaround, to make them working again, I've to downgrade the Macro Security Level in Outlook 2010 from "Notifications for digitally signed macros, all other macros disabled" to "Notifications for all macros".

So it seems that Windows 10 doesn't recognize the "Digital Certificate" anymore.

Please note that this digital certificate remains valid and listed in the Outllook 2010 Trusted Publishers and of course the code remains digitally signed.

Anyone to confirm this issue ?

Any idea how to fix this ?

    Regards,

    Bernard

Self-Signed Excel Macros are not working after Windows 10 Update from 1809 to 1909

Excel macro stopped working after upgrading to v.1903

I hate this kinda stuff. My desktop was working fine. So I gave in and installed the update v.1903 and now all I have to do is fix problems *Sad (Teaches you something about those updates, doesn't it?)

So I have this Excel file that has my own signed macros in it. It used to open just fine. (I think I have Excel 2007.) Now after this update when I try to run the macro it gives me this error:

Note that the macro trust setting has it enabled as such, that has been working before:

How do I make it work?
