Windows 10: semi-encrypt my computers with BitLocker, lock drives when logging out

Hello, For a bit of context, I am using screen-reading software on my computers and am also accessing many home computers remotely, so I need both Windows and the screen-reading software to start up as soon as the computer is powered on. For this reason, I don't want to use BitLocker to encrypt my OS drive. What I would like to do is encrypt non-essential system files by symlinking folders like desktop, documents, and AppData onto a different drive/partition. This part is easy. The part I'm not sure about is how to have Windows ask for the password on the login screen before I access my user account.

Also, I want to have BitLocker unmount (re-lock) my encrypted drives when my computer goes to sleep or locks, so I know that if I stay away from the computer for an hour or hit win+l, my files won't be accessible even with some kind of exploit or someone knowing my password somehow. I realize this may be incompatible with the first option, and in this case i'm totally fine with being more selective about which files go on the bitlocker partition so it doesn't cause a conflict.

I've tried googling for these things and have had no luck. So I'm thinking I might have to code a solution myself, but am wondering if anyone else had any ideas. It's particularly baffling to me that there doesn't seem to be an option to lock bitlocker drives when the computer locks. It's hard enough to lock them in general; it seems like you can do it from the command prompt, but not from the context menu of a drive.

Should I be looking for other solutions? How is VeraCrypt doing these days? I see it was updated on January 23, and I used to love TrueCrypt long before BitLocker existed. It has the auto-unmount option, and I could probably hack something together that would ask for the encryption password at login or something.

Got locked by BitLocker Drive Encryption

I forgot my PIN and password to log in my laptop and when I try to unlock it through cmd.exe and it said "This drive is locked by BitLocker Drive Encryption." but I lost my recovery password of BitLocker. What can I do to log in again?

I suggest you to perform below mentioned steps to disable BitLocker.

To disable BitLocker I would suggest you try the following steps and see if it helps.

  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.

  Change View by from Category
  to Large Icons/Small Icons.
  
• 
  Click on BitLocker Drive Encryption and click on
  Turn BitLocker Off.
  
• 
  Follow on screen instructions. Click on Decrypt the Drive
  when the message appears.
