  1. Semi Frequent BSOD after RAM upgrade

I recently upgraded my RAM from 16 to 32GB. I have run various memory stress tests and the RAM itself is not faulty. I have been getting several BSODs ever since the upgrade no more frequently than once every 24hrs so far. Ever one that I have observed has cited irql_not_less_or_equal as the error message. Sometimes it cites different .sys driver files, it doesn't always cite a driver file, but it sometimes does, and it isn't always the same driver file. For the third party drivers, I can uninstall and reinstall them and they don't throw any more errors. But some of the drivers ie. DirectX12 can't be uninstalled/reinstalled. Most of the drivers I have observed causing this have something to do with graphics ie. DX12, a virtual camera, etc. I believe this probably something to do with how drivers work CPU posts variables to a specific memory range, then calls appropriate hardware calls that read from that memory, though I have no proof that that is what's happening.

Is there anything other than reinstalling windows that I could do to fix this? If I back up my OS then reset to that backup, would it reinstall the drivers, or just copy them? the backup and reset would be less painful than completely reinstalling, especially with ongoing projects

If you need any more info please let me know. do note that specific dump files probably won't solve the whole problem, but rather one driver at a time since this is currently an issue involving multiple drivers

    :)

    Weird BSOD problem

    Hi Everyone,

I have a weird BSOD problem which I cannot solve for a while(it persists still after upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7)

The main strange thing about this is that I get BSOD only after cold boot.
    So it acts like this:

    1. start PC.
    2. Get to Windows Logo Screen
    3. BSOD
    4. Restart
    5. Get to menu where I can try to repair or Start NormallyIf I Choose Repair, it will fail to repair and will try to restoreIf I Choose Start Normally, it will start OK, no BSOD, can work normally, games, browse internet, everything is normal.6. Shutdown PC
    7. Next time when I start is all over again i.e. Go to Step 1

I have this problem for a while, so what I tried:
    1. Another Windows 7
    2. Another HDD
    3. Only HDD connected
    4. Changed RAM
    5. Tried with built in GPU
    6. Upgraded to Windows 10

Result is the same as above every time.

Please suggest what could be the cause.
    Logs collected with DM_Log_Collector, attached.

    Thank you

PS. This thread is a continuation of this one: Frequent multiple errors BSOD. Solved - Windows 7 Help Forums the only thing changed is Windows 10 now. instead of Windows 7. If that helps somehow.

  3. Frequent BSODs of unknown reason. Possibly caused by new PC component

    Hi.

I have recently upgraded my PC. The upgrade included:

    • A 2GB DDR2 Kingmax RAM stick.
    • A 250GB SATA II Hitachi hard drive, which is a replacement for my old broken hard drive.
    • An NVIDIA GeForce 210.

I performed a clean install of Windows 7 after the hardware upgrade. After that, I upgraded to Windows 10. Since then, I have been encountering BSODs on a daily basis, even during normal computer use.

I think that the BSODs were caused by the new parts, and most likely caused by the new RAM stick, since I have not encountered this many BSODs before the hardware upgrade, when I was still using windows XP. Please help me find out the cause for the frequent BSODs.

I attached the debug file following the posting instructions. Thank you.
