Windows 10: September New Games for Xbox Game Pass

Xbox Game Pass members, we’ve got some great additions to the Xbox Game Pass catalog this September to tell you about, including Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Quantum Break, Onrush, Aven Colony, Shadow Warrior 1, Sky-Force Reloaded, Snake Pass, Manuel Samuel, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams and InnerSpace. You can find all these titles on the Xbox Game Pass tab on your home console. They’re all coming to Xbox Game Pass this September, in addition to the over 100 more great games included in your membership. Let’s dive into this month’s new additions to the catalog:

Halo: The Master Chief Collection | September 1
Featuring four epic Halo titles, including the remastered campaigns of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and Halo 2: Anniversary, as well as Halo 3, Halo 4, and hundreds of maps to experience the series’ iconic multiplayer elements with improved matchmaking, offline LAN support, faster load times, and Xbox One X enhancements with up to 4K UHD resolution and HDR support, there’s no better time to experience Master Chief’s legendary saga.

Quantum Break | September 1
From Remedy Entertainment, masters of cinematic action games, comes Quantum Break, an epic, sci-fi adventure where you take on the secretive Monarch Solutions organization to fix a fracture in time. Featuring a star-studded cast of actors including Shawn Ashmore, Aidan Gillen, Dominic Monaghan, and Lance Reddick, strap in for a thrilling and intense story that combines time-amplified suspense and an edge of your seat live action show.

Onrush | September 5
Onrush, developed by the racing game gurus at Codemasters, features high-impact, adrenaline-fuelled off-road arcade racing with a focus high-tempo excitement and fun. In Onrush, you’ll need to build up your boost and show your opponent’s who’s boss with a perfectly timed takedown that scores maximum points for your team. If you’re the one who gets taken down, you can get back into the action quickly with the Stampede System, which respawns you right back into the mix. Want to gain a real edge? Unleash your Rush, a blast of power and speed that allows you to quickly take down your foes.

Aven Colony | September 1
Take on the role of a governor who must oversee the Aven Expedition on the alien planet of Aven Prime, a moon that orbits a massive gas giant that’s many light years from Earth. You must help grow this tiny, vulnerable colony into a massive, sprawling sci-fi metropolis while battling everything from social policies to giant space sandworms.

Shadow Warrior 1 | September 1
Developed by indie studio Flying Wild Hog, Shadow Warrior is a 2013 reboot of the 1997 classic first-person shooter. It tells the offbeat tale of a corporate shogun named Lo Wang who is ordered to find a legendary blade of limitless power by his employer, Zilla Enterprise. Spoiler: Lo Wang is betrayed and left for dead, forcing him to fight back with a combination of guns, magic, his blade, and his equally sharp wit to uncover the truth behind a looming demonic invasion. Highlights of this over-the-top first-person adventure include slicing up enemies with precisely targeted swings and using their own severed heads and still-beating hearts to bring them to their knees.

Sky Force Reloaded | September 1
Sky Force Reloaded, developed by Infinite Dream, seamlessly blends the gameplay from classic arcade shoot ‘em ups with modern visuals and design. This game will grab you with the things you’ve come to love in scrolling shooters: Massive explosions, incinerating lasers, colossal bosses and a wide variety of aircraft to pilot. Sky Force Reloaded will draw you in with its beautiful environments and intense effects and keep you with its superb gameplay mechanics, progression system and in-game collectibles. Once it’s over, you’ll be wishing for more. Thankfully, there’s plenty to do before that happens.

Manual Samuel | September 1
This unique game by the team at Perfectly Paranormal features one of the most memorable control schemes in recent years. After Samuel dies and makes a deal with the Grim Reaper, our hapless hero must survive for a whole day by controlling his entire (and we mean entire) body manually. From working and driving to even blinking and breathing, every minute task is your responsibility, often to hilarious results. Getting through the ordeal won’t be easy, especially given that Death will always be nearby heckling you. This is also a great co-op experience for you and a partner, as you must share the bodily function workload if you hope to see Samuel survive.

Snake Pass | September 1
Join Noodle the Snake and his friend Doodle the Hummingbird in this physics-based platformer as you slither, coil, and climb around his tranquil home of Haven Tor in a quest to reunite missing Keystones with the magical gates that power this mythical world. Find hidden collectibles, take on Time Trials, and play the brand-new Arcade mode to prove that you are the slickest slitherer around.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams | September 1
Created by Black Forest Games, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams is a fast-paced, frenetic platformer with a unique gameplay twist. In addition to plenty of old-school, retro-era platforming, you’ll be able to warp Giana’s dreams to change up your abilities in an effort to better battle the twisted creatures living within them. Featuring graphics that pack a visual punch and tight platforming controls. Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams sees you morphing between two dream worlds to solve puzzles and fight furious foes. You’ll need to utilize both Punk Giana’s hammering dash attack and Giana’s twirling jump attack and if you want to make it through this double-edged ordeal alive.

InnerSpace | September 1
Created by a small team of seven developers at PolyKnight Games, InnerSpace is a beautiful space exploration game with no horizons. You’ll navigate breath-taking landscapes and submerge yourself in lost oceans in your search for the ancient gods of the Inverse, a dimension of inside-out planets. As you explore, you’ll awaken old friends and foes, hunt for relics that help to uncover the history of the Inverse, and collect wind that you’ll use to unlock and master each of the game’s seven airframes.

Introducing Xbox Game Pass Quests: Summer Edition

Your summer of fun is about to begin. Starting today, we’re kicking off the Xbox Game Pass Quests: Summer Edition with new quests every other week exclusively available to Xbox Game Pass members. Whether it rains or shines, you will get rewards to play the games you love all summer long.

What is Xbox Game Pass Quests: Summer Edition?

Xbox Game Pass Quests is a fun way for Xbox Game Pass members to get rewarded and win prizes playing games in Xbox Game Pass. Every two weeks throughout the Summer, we will announce a new Quest so there’s never a dull moment.

How does it work?

Head to the Xbox Game Pass Membership area on your Xbox One console to check out your Xbox Game Pass Quests. Xbox Game Pass members in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada who complete their Quests are guaranteed a special prize, plus entry to win the grand prize. There will be new Quests every two weeks.

What’s the first Quest?

Starting today, complete both Quests listed below to get a Foxbat Brassilisk from The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, plus a chance to win a gold-plated Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition.

Quest 1: Play 60 minutes, three days in a row in any Xbox Game Pass title before July 9

Xbox Game Pass expands to include new releases from Microsoft Studios

When we launched Xbox Game Pass in June 2017, we knew we wanted to craft a service with gamers in mind. That meant a diverse, expanding library of over 100 games and counting, matched with one monthly price and unlimited access to download and play full-fidelity experiences.

We’ve been blown away by the incredible response. Following launch, we heard from fans around the world who wanted Xbox Game Pass in their country. In September, we expanded globally and Xbox Game Pass is now available to fans in 40 countries. We’ve also continued to expand the catalog with new games added to the Xbox Game Pass library every month, so there is always something new to play.

We know our fans value having a variety of games to play at a low monthly price. We’ve also heard from fans that the ability to play new blockbuster games in Xbox Game Pass is important. So we’ve continued to explore new ideas to make this possible.

Today, we’re excited to announce plans for a major expansion to Xbox Game Pass that underscores our commitment to deliver our fans the ultimate gaming subscription service.

Moving forward, we plan to release all new Xbox One exclusive games from Microsoft Studios into Xbox Game Pass on the same date as their global release. This means that when Sea of Thieves launches on March 20, it will be included in Xbox Game Pass to all members.

This plan to bring new games timed with their global release into Xbox Game Pass not only includes announced titles like Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2 and Crackdown 3 but future unannounced games from Microsoft Studios including new iterations of our biggest Xbox One exclusive franchises such as Halo, Forza and Gears of War, on the same day they launch.

Our fans have also asked for more choice in the subscription offerings available for Xbox Game Pass. As part of today’s library expansion, we are also pleased to announce that we are working closely with our retail partners, such as GameStop, to offer a 6-month Xbox Game Pass subscription card for those fans who look for a variety of ways to purchase and enjoy new games and services. The 6-month Xbox Game Pass subscription card will be available at select retail partners for $59.99 beginning March 20. By working closely with retail partners, Xbox Game Pass will have valuable ambassadors in popular destinations for gamers to discover new and exciting games and enjoy community.

With the addition of more great games, new blockbuster releases and a new subscription offer, we are giving fans more choice and value in how they discover and enjoy games – purchase games for their permanent library or play through Xbox Game Pass for one low price.

We’ve only scratched the surface of the opportunity this new model brings to the industry and what we can deliver to our fans. We firmly believe Xbox Game Pass will be a catalyst to create new opportunities for game developers and publishers to innovate in the way games are developed and delivered, leading to entirely new ways to play.

We’re truly humbled by the incredible response we’ve received to date for Xbox Game Pass, and we look forward to offering an unprecedented choice and value with Xbox Game Pass this spring and beyond.
