Windows 10: Serious Problem with BIOS after installing W10.

Discus and support Serious Problem with BIOS after installing W10. in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; I was experiencing this same situation on my Dell Vostro 1000.     Bear with me... 'cos I know this will not make sense, but this is as it happened.

    1/ I was offered an update yesterday and after installing and restarting I didn't see the problem of no BIOS appear again (doing normal shutdowns).

    2/ This morning I had major problems with LibreOffice (seems it won't play with W10 on my system) and so I recovered back to a disk image made yesterday which was pre update.


    3/ Bizarrely, Windows Update now will not offer that update from yesterday despite me forcing an updates check.

    The BIOS continues to now appear. I haven't changed anything in there either.

    No explanations for any of that other than "it happened" and I have the pictures to prove it. Today it makes out I'm losing the plot and it appears correctly every time.
