Windows 10: Serious update loop read-only error nothing can access the drive but boots up till update...

Dear MS community.


I have very serious problem, my windows stuck in a windows update sequence. The ssd m2 is accessible for read only, diskpart, linux gparted, regedit lol, windows recovery, chkdisk ,3rd party software, etc cannot unlock. The ssd m2 operating perfectly it boots almost until the login screen but the blue screen appears the windows update could not finish and undoing the changes and restart. Cannot get it further than this.

diskpart says the the

CURRENT READ-ONLY STATE: YES

Read-only: NO

Boot Disk:No

the rest of the flags are no.

attributes disk clear readonly : Disk attributes cleared successfully however CURRENT READ-ONLY STATE: YES remains..


chkdisk says cannot run because the disk is write protected. Parted magic says it has performed the operations, but at disk reload the same loads, no change to partitions. Windows recovery, even install would not start because it cannot make the file operations. Regedit did not make any changes. 3rd party software were unable to do anything.


Any other ways please?

Does Windows Update Take 10GB?

Richtclick con "My PC" (Or "My desktop" and "Properties", it tells you if your system has SP1.

1) In your case, I would just reinstall al new (not update or repair), no need to killdisk.

2) Make sure your system is perfectly healthy (Device manager), if needed, install mobo, chipset and SDD drives.

3) Run Winupdate, it will install updates step by step, not 200 at once.

4) Check each step before proceding to next step. Read WinUpdate error messages early (also in Event viewer/System filter by error and warning).

 

Alienware Area 51 m15x BIOS Update Released

If you were among the group of people experiencing overheating issues with your Alienware Area 51 m15x laptop, then there are some good news for you. A new BIOS update, version X29b P3A30 is now available. The update allegedly allows VGA fans to increase up to 5400 rpm and thus better cool the GPU. To obtain the new BIOS, you'll need to email the m15x support line (L: Area51_m15x@alienware.com). In reply you should receive a link to the BIOS .zip archive. Once you download the small file, Alienware recommends to follow the steps described in the Read full story marker.



Open Nero Ultra Edition, click Backup, and then click “Burn Image to Disc.” Next, select the file “m15x_x29b.iso from the unzipped folder.

• Plug your AC adapter in
• Disconnect all third-party peripherals
• Don’t turn off the computer or restart it during the update
• Don’t eject your DVD/Blu-ray drive during the update.

Steps:

• Open BIOS by tapping F12 during boot
• Set BIOS to boot from your CD-ROM drive first
• Save and exit
• Upon reboot, the BIOS flash update will proceed
• Click “Yes” through the prompts
• Restart
