Windows 10: Server 2016 Std unable to install CUs after 2022-02 CU error 0x800F0922

Hello,new customer of mine has 10 domain controllers 2 physical and 8 virtual. These domain controllers were on a very old state "2019-05 Cumulative Update" or "2019-12 Cumulative Update". I wanted to update these domain controllers to the current state "2023-05 Cumulative Update". But on each server I always got the error 0x800F0922 no matter if I tried to install the update from WSUS or manually downloaded from MS Update Catalog. Then I tried to install previous Cumulative Update 2023-04, 2022-08, 2022-06, 2022-04 and I always got the error 0x800F0922. After that I went forward instead of

Update error 0x800f081f installing CU 2022-12 on server 2022 21H2

Hello,

Since last month I cannot install any CU updates on my newly installed server 2022.

I tried the 2022-11 and this month the 2022-12 (KB5021249)

It fails after 44% with error 0x800f081f I tried all the common sfc checks and DISM checks nothing helps, anyone any ideas left?

Also manual download and install fails.

 

October 2022 CU broke Published Application and Remote Desktop connections

The scenario is that we use Windows Hello for Business to log onto devices, and Remote Credential Guard to access RDP and Published applications seamlessly.

After the October 2022 CU went out to the business, users started getting a CredSSP error when attempting to launch the Published Applications.

If the users logged onto their device with username and password, and not WHfB, the published applications worked as normal.

After quite a bit of testing, we found that removing the October 2022 CU fixed the issue and users could again use Published applications and RDP whilst logged in with WHfB. Installing the November 2022 CU did not resolve the problem.

However, copying the files mstsc.exe and mstscax.dll from a device without the October 2022 CU to a device with the October and November 2022 CU fixed the issue.

My concern is that each monthly CU will cause the problem to reoccur and so the copy of these 2 files will be needed each month to every device.

Does anyone know if this will be reviewed and resolved in December 2022 CU.

CU for Windows Server 2019 (1809) for x64-based Systems (KB5013941) - Error 0x8000ffff

Dear support,

I am trying to install a CU on a windows server 2019 machine. While trying to install it manually I have the following error:
Windows update could not be installed because of error 2149842967

Also I tried to install the CU from windows update and I have the following error:
2022-05 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2019 (1809) for x64-based Systems (KB5013941) - Error 0x8000ffff

I would like to inform you that the last successful installed KB on this machine is from 09.2021.

Please let me know what seems to be the issue?
