Windows 10: Session "Terminal-Service-LSM-ApplicationLag-5184" failed to start with the following...

Good Morning,


Our customer is receiving the above error continuously. Is this something we should be concerned about? I researched online and found 2 methods, please seelink. Based on the article is this still considered the best solution? If not, what other solutions are available? I appreciate any information and feedback.

win 10 error after last update Session "Terminal-Services-LSM-ApplicationLag-5828" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000035

I started getting this error message in Event Viewer after the last update "Feature update to Windows 10, version 1809". I am getting at least 7-10 of these errors per day since the update. This didn't happen prior to the update.

Ive been getting lots of errors from that LSM ApplicationLag(theres 3172,9228,9344 and list goes on) but thats the most recent one, and seems I cant find a solution at all

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

1. Do you get any errors on screen after logon that mentions "Local Session Manager"?
   
2. Are you connected to a domain network or do you use and Remote login tools?
   

The issue could be related to Local Session Manager Service, however, we will try to narrow down the issue to understand why we are seeing this error.



Method 1: Set LSM service to start automatically.

1. Run Command Prompt as administrator.
   
2. Search for command prompt in the start menu.
   
3. Right click on CMD and run it as administrator.
   
4. Type in the below command and hit enter
   

• sc config LSM start= auto
  
  
• sc start LSM
  

Method 2: Run SFC scan.

I also suggest you to
Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files.
